Google Veo 3.1 API pricing

Google’s Gemini API lists per-second rates for Veo 3.1 Standard, Fast, and Lite. The model generates native audio with video; audio is always on in these documented tiers.

Duration and resolution limits

Veo 3.1 supports 4, 6, or 8-second outputs. 1080p and 4K output require 8 seconds. At 720p, 4-, 6-, and 8-second options are available, subject to the endpoint’s input features. The documented Gemini API modes include text-to-video and image-to-video; Veo 3.1 and Fast also support video extension, which is not the same as arbitrary video-to-video editing.

Example estimates

An 8-second video at 720p is $3.20 with Standard, $0.80 with Fast, or $0.40 with Lite. At 1080p for 8 seconds, estimates are $3.20, $0.96, and $0.64 respectively. At 4K for 8 seconds, Standard is $4.80 and Fast is $2.40; Lite does not support 4K.

Important: these are Google Gemini API rates. Google may bill only for successfully generated videos. Other hosts can price their Veo endpoints differently.
